"Prayer enlarges the heart until it is capable of containing
God's gift of himself.

Ask and seek, and your heart will grow big enough to receive
him and to keep him as your own.  Wherever God has put
you, that is your vocation.  It is not what we do but how much
love we put into it."

-- Mother Teresa

Our website is our most active way of “getting the word out”.  We also make ourselves
available to present the ministry at women’s events, retreats, etc.

    How We Got Started:

"Undergirding"  --  to strengthen or secure.  Undergirding may be an old-fashioned word,
but it's premise is timeless and so near and dear to my heart.

In August of 2003, my beloved husband was diagnosed with cancer.  He died one month
    later.

As the holidays approached, friend Cea Pannell, and several dear, godly girlfriends formed
a group of 6 --me included-- to meet weekly for coffee and to "pray our family through" the
imminent heartache of the first holidays without husband and father.  The prayer was to
bolster us and give us peace and joy, in spite of our circumstances.  Even though the loss of
Don was glaring and painful for all of us, the peace and joy that permeated our home that
Christmas was palpable.  Our family KNOWS that it was due to the continuous prayers going
up on our behalf.  WE FELT THOSE PRAYERS!

Our group would meet every Monday afternoon to chat about life and to find out how we
could pray for each other that week.  Once the holidays were over and we all had seen and
felt the difference that the undergirding made in our lives - there was no way we wanted to
see it end.  The sustaining power of those prayers and the sense of being enfolded by God
was beautiful beyond description.  We made the decision to continue meeting to keep the
bonds we had made, to catch up on each other's lives and to commit to pray for the needs
    of each other.

The beautiful blessing of having 6 friends to be real with, that truly care, that you know are
out there praying daily for YOU, is invaluably uplifting and the results are amazing!  As is our
God!  My prayer for you is that you too will lift up the goodness of the Lord that shines so
brightly when we draw near to Him through prayer.  There is POWER in prayer, so don't
flounder when you can fly.  You are not alone!
